Ginny Stone Mackin is an executive counselor to company executives, communications leaders and non-profit experts who want to improve the performance, value and impact of the functions in their organizations. She works with leaders in companies large and small with all types of operating cultures and personalities, and industries ranging from fashion and retail to financial services, public utilities and industrial/manufacturing.

Ginny started her 30+ year career as a communicator in the fashion retail industry in New York City. Her success took her to roles with Fortune 500 companies, including CPC International Inc. (now Unilever) and Bank of America. As her career progressed, she led strategic communications at large, multi-national companies, including Wachovia Corp. (now Wells Fargo Corp.), Duke Energy and Ingersoll Rand. Through her professional journey, her passion became clear – she enjoys helping leaders build their confidence, increase their value and establish communications as a critical success lever within their companies.

Throughout her career, Ginny has led the integrated alignment of reputation, brand, leadership behaviors and authentic communication. She works with individuals and organizations to establish actionable and enduring changes that enhance and build strong leaders and healthy cultures.

Ginny takes an honest and direct approach when applying her “Trust and Impact Framework” for leaders. The trust and impact methodology starts at the intersection between strategy, culture and leadership. It uses a combination of quantitative and perceptual data to build courageous and sustainable programs that mature and create clarity for the leader, team and function within the broad company and within the function communications and philanthropy may report like Human Resources, Marketing or Legal. Ginny is a certified facilitator of the Brand You curriculum, a behavioral approach to building leader and team brands.

Ginny resides outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, Patrick. They are parents to a grown daughter and two big dogs. She enjoys spending time on Martha’s Vineyard with her family, hiking the North Carolina mountains and reading a good book. Ginny is active in the community and has held a recent leadership role on Susan G. Komen for the Carolinas Board of Advisors. She currently sits on the Joe Martin ALS Foundation Board of Directors. She graduated with honors from Boston College with degrees in both Communications and Philosophy.
